As the world's leading professional organization for administrative professionals, IAAP's objective is to elevate the standards of the profession and to promote its working relationship with management through continuing education, authorized programs and publications.

At the local level, the Fredericksburg Chapter of IAAP, offers you local networking and educational opportunities, as well as our monthly newsletter,  Fredericksburg Lantern. 
Membership in the International Association of Administrative Professionals provides you many benefits including the Office Pro magazine, Continuing Education Units offered at IAAP seminars, conventions and meetings; access to independent study learning materials relevant to our professions; and world-wide networking opportunities through attendance at national seminars, conventions and meetings.  In addition, you have the opportunity to enhance and develop your leadership and team skills through participation on chapter committees or as an officer of the organization.  You also have the opportunity to earn points towards your CPS Recertification.  
Participation in IAAP affords you the information you need to keep pace with the changing responsibilities and new skills in the workplace. 

IAAP programs include the CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) and CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) Exams, the Future Secretaries Association and Collegiate Secretaries International, the Retirement Centers Trust, the Research and Education Foundation and Administrative Professionals Week.
